Friday Feature Focus - Required Credit Card

We are seeing more and more of our clients move towards only accepting credit cards and online payments from their clients. This gives them one streamlined payment source that is simple and convenient for both the business and the clients. It also means that staff members don't have to worry about picking up cash and checks and bringing them back to the office.

For these companies --- we wanted to create a simple and easy way to ensure their customers added a credit card to their account. To accomplish this, we built an optional feature that can require a customer to have a card on file before they can request services from the Client Portal.

While this feature is not for everyone --- it helps these "online payments only" companies ensure their clients are adding a card before services are scheduled. This feature can be found in Portal Settings:
